Hello,

 It's been quite a while since I've been on here--and many photos ago.  The most recent shoot I've done was for H.O.P.E. Sertoma Foundation's Derby Days fund raising event.  As the watch party goers witnessed the big win, I took their photos.  It was especially fun getting more formal shots of those who wanted a photo of themselves with Willy, the miniature horse, who sported his own 'blanket' of roses.  You can see some of these photos below this post.

Charity events like this one for H.O.P.E. Sertoma are special to myself and my wife and we always make room in our schedule to cover several each year.  It is our way of giving back to the community.

The charity event before this one, was The Rotary Clubs of Springfield's Rock'n Ribs BBQ Festival.  It is an annual fund raising event in which teams from across the nation compete to see who makes the best BBQ.

I've been one of the official photographers for the event since who knows when.  Many of the photos at their site are those which I took.  My specialty is the band shots.  You can view these and more at www.rocknribs.com.  They haven't yet posted the 2011 photos.  My wife and I, along with my photography partner Harlin Cavin, turned in over 2,000 photos of Rock'n Ribs this year.

What's next on our schedule?  Who knows...have camera, will travel.

I'm pleased to communicate to you through my new blog. It is still under construction, but when done you will get to enjoy a slide show of photos selected from my portfolio.  At the moment that spot is taken by photos from Flickr which I didn't take, but who doesn't like a sunset?  Enjoy.
